CO2 fractional laser creates controlled micro-injuries that stimulate collagen production, which is what allows indented scarring to soften and the surrounding texture to even out. It is the most effective treatment we offer for acne scarring.
Scarring rarely resolves in one session, and how much improvement is realistic depends on the type of scarring you have — some types respond far better than others. We would rather assess yours and give you a specific, honest expectation than sell you a course against a general promise. Active breakouts usually need settling first, and our Clarify facial may come before this.
CO2 laser is one of the more involved treatments we offer. Downtime is expected — expect redness, swelling and flaking while the skin recovers — and a course may be recommended depending on your concern. We will be specific about both at your consultation rather than after you have booked.

Before Your CO₂ Laser Treatment
Avoid sun exposure and tanning before treatment and use SPF daily.
Avoid retinoids, exfoliants and strong active skincare as advised before your appointment.
Arrive with clean skin and no makeup where possible.
Tell us about any medications, allergies, medical conditions or recent treatments.
Let us know if you have a history of cold sores, as preventative medication may be recommended.
Contact us if you develop an infection, rash, broken skin or feel unwell before treatment.
Allow for downtime, redness, swelling and peeling when planning around events.

CO₂ Fractional Laser Aftercare
Keep the skin clean, hydrated and protected as advised.
Avoid picking, peeling, rubbing or exfoliating the treated skin.
Avoid makeup, active skincare, strenuous exercise, swimming, saunas and excessive heat until advised.
Expect redness, swelling, dryness and peeling during the healing process.
Avoid direct sun exposure and use high-protection SPF 50 daily once appropriate.
Follow your practitioner’s recommended post-treatment skincare carefully.
Contact the clinic promptly if you experience increasing pain, blistering, signs of infection or unexpected skin changes.
Treatment may not be suitable if you:
Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Have an active infection, cold sore, open wound or significant skin irritation.
Have recently tanned or experienced sunburn.
Have a history of poor wound healing or keloid scarring.
Are taking certain medications that affect healing or increase photosensitivity.
Have certain medical or skin conditions that may increase treatment risk.
