Why jowls form: muscle pull and lost support
Jowls rarely have a single cause. Part of it is muscle: the muscles around the jaw and the corners of the mouth pull the lower face downwards, deepening the downward smile and blurring the line of the jaw. Part of it is support: as skin loses firmness and structure over time, there is less underneath to hold the lower face where it was.
That is why Jowl Firm works on both. Anti-wrinkle treatment in the jowls, downward smile and masseter softens the pull. Dermal filler smooths, contours and supports the lower face where structure has been lost. Treating only one of the two limits what is achievable, which is why the combined treatment exists.
Where the bigger issue is gradual loss of volume and firmness across the face, Sculptra (PLLA) is another option we may discuss. Rather than adding volume on the day, it stimulates your own collagen over weeks and months, and a course is usually recommended. It starts from £350.

Is Sculptra good for jowls?
Sculptra doesn't target the jowls the way Jowl Firm does. It works gradually on volume and firmness by stimulating your own collagen, so it may suit you if lost structure across the face is part of the picture. It starts from £350, and a course is usually recommended.
Do you treat the neck as well?
Yes. The Nefertiti Neck Booster is a course of five treatments designed to improve fine lines, firmness and texture on the neck, and we also offer CO2 fractional laser for the neck. We'll talk through which suits you at consultation.
